It is the law effective September 15, 2009 that all Canadian's who operate a pleasure craft must have a pleasure craft operators card.
Age and horsepower restrictions apply to the following categories:

Cannot operate a PWC under any conditions

No supervision or horsepower restrictions apply
Operator allowed to operate a PWC only if he/she has obtained a Pleasure Craft Operator Card |
How Do I Obtain A Pleasure Craft Operator Card?
Boaters can obtain their operator card after receiving a mark of at least 75 percent on the BOATsmart! Canada Challenge Exam. Once obtained, the Pleasure Craft Operator Card is good for life.
