Tuesday, 27 December 2011 11:54
Ready to Travel? Simple items such as a shovel, tow rope, extra blankets, first aid kit and winter clothing are essential. Being prepared is one part but driving responsibly is another. Plan ahead! While the weather might be great at your time of departure it can turn poor half way there. Give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination. If due to mechanical breakdown or poor road conditions, you become stranded, stay with your vehicle. Signal for help. As close as the house might seem you can easily become hurt or maybe there is no one home. Travel safe this winter!
